Yu Liang, Associate Professor. He was a visiting scholar at South China Normal University under the supervision of Professor Tang Yong, and an off-campus master’s supervisor of the university. Currently, he serves at the College of Low-Altitude Technology and Electronic Information, Guangdong University of Science and Technology. He acts as interim person in charge of scientific research and innovation & entrepreneurship, and Secretary of the Party Branch for teachers of the Internet of Things Engineering major. He holds concurrent positions as Director of Guangdong Joint Laboratory for AIoT Application Innovation, Deputy Director of Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center for Edge Intelligence & Industrial Internet and Dongguan Engineering Technology Research Center for AIoT Edge Computing, core member of Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Internet of Vehicles, and Executive Director of Institute of Data Intelligence of Guangdong University of Science and Technology. He has presided over and participated in more than 20 municipal and above-level research projects, including 13 projects presided by himself, and over 30 university-level projects. He has published 4 textbooks, among which 2 as chief editor, 1 as associate editor and 1 as contributor. More than 40 academic papers have been issued, 23 indexed by SCI/EI and 5 published in Chinese core journals. He has applied for 30 patents, with 23 authorized, and obtained 14 authorized software copyrights. He has won over 10 awards covering scientific & technological achievements, teaching achievements, teaching and research competitions, thesis contests and excellent cases. He has guided students to win more than 40 awards in various competitions at all levels. He works as technical review expert for Digital Guangdong, Shenzhen and Dongguan. He is a member of China Computer Federation and a science and technology correspondent of Dongguan City.
